I have applied the changes according to my feedback yet still kept my cover similar to the idea I had in mind. By applying red to the background on the text at the top it makes it stand out more and helps the theme flow through easier. Also by rounding the edge's of the boxes and making some darker it gives more depth and a more easy going edge to my magazine which was one of my original aims.
